FENBENDAZOLE,PRAZIQUANTEL AND IVERMECTIN BOLUS

Each uncoated bolus contains :
Fenbendazole IP 300 mg
Praziquantel IP 150 mg
Ivermectin IP 12 mg

Indications:

Praziquantel is Cestocide. This bolus control Cestode worms (Dipylodium Caninum and Taeniaeformis) in cats. Praziquantel is absorbed, Metabolized in the Liver and excreted in the bile. Upon entering the digestive tract from the  bile, cestocidal activity is exhibited. Following exposure to Praziquantel, the tapeworm loses its ability to resist digestion by the Mammalian host. Because of this, whole Tape worms, including the Scolex, are very rarely passed after
administration of Praziquantel. The majority of Tapeworms killed are digested and are not foundinthefeces.

Parasitic diseases are common in animals. Parasites can affect the skin, ears, stomach and intestines and the internal organs including the heart, lungs and liver. Several drugs have been  developed killed or prevent parasites such as fleas, ticks, mites and worms. Ivermectin is highly effective in treating these ectoparasies like lice, mites, ticks and parasitic fly larvae. Ivermectin is a semisynthetic, anthelmintic agent for oral administration. Ivermectin is derived from the
avermectins a class of highly active broad—spectrum, ani—parasitic agents isolated from the fermentation products of Streptomyces avermitilis. Ivermectin belongs to the group, macrocyclic lactones and is highly effective against a wide range of parasites from Nematodes to Ectoparasitic arthrapods.
