LEVOFLOXACIN HEMI HYDRATE POWDER

Composition : 

Each gram contains : Levofloxacin IP 100 mg.

DESCRIPTION:

Levofloxacin, a chiral fluorinated carboxyquinolone, is a synthetic broad-spectrum antibacterial agent. It is clinically effective against wide range of gram positive & gram negative organisms & Mycoplasma spp. The mechanism of action of Levofloxacin involves inhibition of bacterial topoisomerase IV and DNA gyrase (both are type II topoisomerases), enzymes required for DNA replication, transcription, repair and recombination in bacteria.

INDICATIONS:

Clinically effective against wide range of gram positive & gram negative organisms 8. Mycoplasma, Clostridium, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus spp. Very effective against severe systemic infections like CRD, Colisepticaemia, Salmonellosis, Mycoplasmosis, Infections Coryza, Fowl Cholera, Necrotic Enteritis, Gangrenous Dermatitis and non specific bacterial infectins etc.

Levofloxacin used to treat or prevent infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by susceptible bacteria.

DOSAGE:
Cattle & Pigs : For the treatment of infections of the respiratory and
alimentarytractz 2.5 — 5.0 gm per I 00 kgs of b.wt. for 3-5 days (or) as advised by aveterinarian.

Withdrawal Time : 8 days for Sheep and Goat from last treatment.

Presentation: 50g, 100g, 150g, 200g, 250g, 500g & I kg.
