METRONIDAZOLE & FURAZOLIDONE BOLUS

Composition : ( petrofen Bolus )

Each uncoated bolus contains :

Metronidazole     I.P 1gm

Furazolidone        I.P 200mg

Indications :

• It is an antiprotozoal and antibacterial which damage the bacterial DNA poorly observed from gut.
• Used in Coccidiosis ,Woonds ,UTI.
• It acts against Salmoneliae & Dysentry.
• It acts as bacteriocide & Protozoacide.
• It is also used in the treatment and prophylaxis of anerobic bacterial infection.
• It is active against a range of enteric bacteria in vitro including staphylococci,Entrococci & E.coli and salmonellae spp”;shigelia spp.

Dosage :

For Dogs : 20 mg per kg body weight daily .

For large animals : 10 to 12 mg drug for kg body weight of live to seven days.

Presentation : 

2,4,5,& 6 bolus.
