NORFLOXACIN AND TINIDAZOLE BOLUS

Composition :

Each un coated Bolus contains :
Norfloxacin  IP 1200 mg
Tinidazole    IP 1800 mg

INDICATIONS:

Norfloxacin / Tinidazole is a drug used to treat bacterial infections. It is a second generation fluroquinolone
antibacterial. It kills bacteria by interfering with the enzymes that cause DNA to rewind after being copied, which
stops DNA and protein synthesis. Norfloxacin is bactericidal against enteropathogens like shigella, Salmonella, E-
coli, etc. It acts by inhibition of DNA synthesis of microbe. Tinidazole is a potent anaerobicide. It is also effective
against Entameba 8. Giardia. It acts by damaging DNA strands. This combination has the advantage of being
effective against both bacteria & protozoa. Norfloxacin kills the pathogenic intestinal bacteria 8. alters intestinal
flora 8. Tinidazole directly eradicates Entameba. This combination can also be used in other systemic infections caused by susceptible organisms.

• Controls Livestock Anthrax, colibacillosis, Enterotoxema, Actinamycosis, Mastitis, Strangles, infections
  Keratitis, Infections polyarthritis, Foot Rot, Necrotic Rhinitis, Toxo Plasmosis.
• In calves it is used fo Mixed Bacterial and Protozoal infections in GI Tract, Respiratory Tract, Urinogenital Tract,
  Skin, Bone, Joints, Soft Tissues and Septicaemic conditions.
• Control Secondary bacterial complications associated with viral diseases.

DOSAGE :

One bolus orally for 3 to 5 days (or) as directed by the Veterinarian.
